Transfer of a yacht under own power – on some routings it might be more useful than transportation

Aside of our core competence, the yachttransport on deck of one of our vessels, we do a lot of yacht transfers in our daily life.

Usually, we transfer yachts which are supposed to be shipped on one of our vessels to and from the current location. However, sometimes a pure transfer without transportation being involved is more workable and cost efficient. Looking at the distance from Rotterdam to the Baltic Sea, the seaworthiness of the yacht and the savings on mobilization costs, we decided together with the owner that a transfer under own power would make more sense for this job.

Right after the final sea trials our professional skippers took over this 90ft yacht and sailed her safe and sound to her new homeport.
